This woman in her late twenties from the North Shore came to my office to discuss breast augmentation. She has not had children. Her goals from surgery included achieving a natural, teardrop shape to the upper breast while enhancing her breast size. As we discussed her natural asymmetries, she ultimately decided to have me place a slightly larger implant in the left breast. She choose to have silicone gel filled implants placed under the muscle (dual plane) using an incision beneath the breast (inframammary). A 325cc mid range profile implant was used on the right and a 350cc mid range profile implant was used on the left. These implants are slightly less than the fill volume which I estimated to be 375cc.

The surgery takes about an hour, and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
