This patient in her early thirties from New Hampshire came to my office to discuss breast augmentation. Her goals from breast augmentation included achieving a full and balanced look to the breasts. I recommended anatomic shaped silicone gel implants. She chose implants 50cc above her fill volume. 375cc textured, teardrop, silicone implants were used and were placed above the muscle (subglanglandular/subfascial) using an incision under the breast (inframammary).

The surgery takes about an hour and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
