This woman in her late thirties from Rhode Island came to my office to discuss breast augmentation. Her goals included correcting breast deflation she noticed after pregnancy and nursing. In order to achieve her goals I recommended contour (teardrop shaped) implants and an implant volume near her fill volume of 325cc. 310cc moderate profile textured contour silicone implants were placed under the muscle through an inframammary incision. Contour implants are textured so that they do not rotate; textured implants also have a lower risk of capsular contracture than smooth implants. Note that she elected to not correct the nipple height asymmetry with a mastopexy.
