This patient in her mid-twenties from Boston came to my office to discuss breast enhancement and body contouring. Her goals from surgery were to enhance her breast size, improve her breast shape, flatten her tummy and improve her waistline. In a single operation I did a breast augmentation, tummy tuck and liposuction of the torso. I used 475cc (implants equal to her fill volume) teardrop shaped silicone gel implants placed under the muscle. I did a full abdominoplasty and 6400cc of liposuction. Liposuction was done circumferentially around the torso.

This patient came in for consultation prior to having children; however, patients often come in for consultation for breast and body contouring surgery after childbirth (Mommy Makeover) or after having lost significant weight by diet and exercise or with the help of bariatric surgery. Many times breast and body contouring procedures can be safely combined and performed at one surgery reducing overall recovery time. Patients often spend a night in the hospital after these procedures, although sometimes patients go home the day of surgery.
